All this talk about Puccini House, I figured it's about time I post some pictures of my room, the "Oryx Room." It's small and cozy, with its quirks. The room is named for the Oryx antlers on my wall. It's kind of weird having antlers right above my bed, so I bought some sparkly, flowery throw pillows to make the room feel less hunting lodge and more Amanda. I get wonderful sunlight in the morning but one of my windows doesn't close all the way, so I usually have to recruit someone to help me close it. The room itself isn't heated at all, so with the windows and tile floors it gets pretty chilly at night. I have plenty of blankets, though, so I've been sleeping really peacefully, in spite of the horns.
